Updates

The store at the Kennet Centre will be open one or two days a month from Sept to February - details will be shared here. If you need anything, get in touch and if we have it we'll arrange collection.

What does TUXchange offer?

Our aim is to provide FREE, previously loved, school uniform for children aged 3 – 16yrs

Why are we doing this?
School uniform is expensive. So many families report that they get into more debt buying uniform for the start of the school year than they do at Christmas.
This free school uniform service is here to help reduce those hefty bills and save many items going to landfill by recycling them.

Accessibility of second hand uniform
We know that most schools organise their own second hand sales or even have their own on-site shops and we encourage you to use these to help boost their funding.
But if you can't access these services due to their limited opening times then please get in touch.

How does is it work?
This is a FREE school uniform service for Newbury and Thatcham.

It's not a strict exchange, you don't need to bring clothes in to take new ones away.

Simply pop into the store at the Kennet Centre and take what you need for your little ones. If you are able to make a small monetary donation then please do as this will help cover costs.

The store will be open one or two days a month until the end of January. Our next open day is 18 Nov from 11 am to 3 pm. Further dates will be communicated here and on our Facebook page. If you need something prior to this date then please contact us via email - TUXchange19@gmail.com with your requirements and if we have it we will arrange for you to collect.

Donations
All donations must be GOOD QUALITY, CLEAN school uniform - this includes all uniform (branded and non-branded), shoes, PE kits, coats, and book bags. But please NO old style logo items that your school no longer use, tights, socks, stained, or holed items.
Please remember that these items are being gifted to another child.

You can donate directly to the new store during open hours, or via the Foodbank areas in local supermarkets - simply place items in a bag, tied up and drop in the Foodbank collection points.
